It is a proven fact that a diet of wholegrain rice promotes normal blood pressure. As it regulates low as well as high pressure, it would be wrong not to give it a chance for either of these problems. Not long ago I received a letter from a friend in Germany to whom I had recommended a wholegrain rice diet for his very high blood pressure. He had followed my advice and was able to report excellent results.
He remained on the recommended diet for ten weeks and found that he had lost weight and that his blood pressure had gone down from 230 to 190. This result alone was most encouraging. He then took a two-week vacation, at the end of which his pressure had fallen even further, this time to 170. Let me add that this patient is already sixty-three years old and it is especially interesting to note that he obtained such splendid results without the aid of any medication – simply by following a diet of wholegrain rice, cottage cheese and salads. If he keeps to this diet he will experience a further reduction in blood pressure and, with it, the elasticity of the blood vessels will improve.
